Monica participated in the Melrose League of Women Voters Candidate Forum moderated by Lynne Brodsky of the Winchester League of Women Voters. All candidates for contested offices for School Committee, City Council and Mayor were invited to participate. The forum was taped by MMTV and is available for viewing on their YouTube Channel. The mayoral portion of the forum begins approximately at 1 hour and 23 minutes. Hear Monica discuss many important issues including our city budget, the upcoming public safety building ballot question, and challenges related to housing and development.

Monica participated in the first Mayoral Candidate Forum on the Arts & Culture hosted by the Melrose Creative Alliance. Topics included discussion on how city resources such as staffing could be used to benefit arts and culture in Melrose, how to leverage funding and provide space to artists.

Monica participated in the first Mayoral Forum on Racial Justice. The forum was hosted jointly by Fighting for Black Lives in Our Neighborhood, the Melrose Racial Justice Community Coalition and Friends of Melrose METCO. The candidates spoke about racial justice matters that affect our residents in many areas including our schools, in housing and more.
Monica joined host, Louise Fennell (Life with Louise), on her Podcast, Fabulous Females. The two discussed how Monica's experience will prepare her for the duties of Mayor. They also talked accessibility in our community and had a good chat about Artificial Intelligence -in our lives, in the schools and some of the risks for fraud associated with it.
